I wonder how many people disable the Jade Release Note dialog as soon as they upgrade?

While it provides a high level overview of recent changes, most are probably very quick to disable it after giving it a quick look because it's popped up in an annoying way that gets in the way of opening the IDE quickly to carry on with development work.

I'd like to see this removed in favour of a more passive approach which doesn't have a one time use. Something that is automatically updated/refreshed with the latest news/highlights with links to associated information/articles to find out more.

Like the Visual Studio Developer News, this could simply present the latest headlines from an RSS feed. What'd be even better is if we could configure additional feeds to be merged in with those from JADE, which'd provide a place for developers to look at more news relevant to them, both external & internal.

This'd provide a channel for letting developers know about recent changes/improvements, which'd be most useful if JADE are considering a preview/insider programme to interact with the community to get feedback on changes being developed, or if they do start releasing IDE improvements independently of runtime/platform changes.

This is an idea that could be implemented as an extension, rather than being built into the main window/background directly. This'd allow it to be disabled in cases where it can't be updated automatically. This'd also allow it to be moved/collapsed as we prefer (perhaps with an indicator to show there's something new).

Such a channel could enable various members of JADE to blog about different topics & upcoming changes they're involved in, which'd likely provide more information/detail in more digestible chunks.
