The JADE 2022 release meets tomorrow’s business demands.
If you have a Jade system with a browser front end and Jade back end your license costs would be heavily reduced as you would just be paying for the web processes. If you use Jade with the front and back end you have to pay licenses for each Jade process. It doesn't seem fair to me and I'm not sure if there is a better way to license Jade? We have a simple Kiosk interface that we decided would be much quicker to develop using Jade forms rather than as a browser, but now as clients want more and more kiosks its a significant cost each time rather than if it was a browser they could roll it out wherever they wanted (within reason) for no extra cost. This puts us at a disadvantage with browser based competitors and it also disincentives us from using Jade as the front end for future projects.
Possibly a tiered license fee might work better so the more licenses you get the cheaper they become, or can we have cheaper processes that has limits on it.
Hi Sam, can you please email me and we can discuss options that might work for you. John (jascroft@jadeworld.com)
