The Jade 2025 release focuses on modernising the developer experience and helping you build faster, smarter, and more scalable applications.
It would be nice if there was a keyboard way to access the IDE pinned apps, similar to the way we can access the extended clipboard entries via keyboard using Ctrl+Alt+C,1 chord to copy current selection to extended clipboard entry #1 or Ctrl+Alt+V,3 to paste extended clipboard entry 3 into the current editor pane, etc.
A possible option would be Ctrl+Alt+R,# as a chord, where # could be numbers 1 to 9 or 0, to handle launching pinned apps from the 1st pinned app through to the 10th pinned app via the keyboard.
For example, consider the pinned apps in the attached screenshot. For this IDE, the keyboard shortcut chords which could then be used to launch the respective pinned apps would be:
Pinned App |
Shortcut key chord |
|---|---|
Block Crush |
Ctrl+Alt+R,1 |
Double Trouble |
Ctrl+Alt+R,2 |
JV25 App (Orb) |
Ctrl+Alt+R,3 |
Banking (Dev course) |
Ctrl+Alt+R,4 |
BeeJay IDE PowerToyz |
Ctrl+Alt+R,5 |
Cheers,
BeeJay.
