Auto-Complete lists methods that can be applied to objects within ()

d1, d2 : Decimal
((d1 + d2)/2).roundedTo(1)
in the example above auto complete wouldn't list roundedTo or any methods associated with Decimal even though the statement is valid.

this is quite annoying as you then need to go look up what the method is that your trying to find or write it on another line without parenthesis to find the method. which in my mind defeats the point of an auto complete.

I am aware other auto-completes provide this which I guess is why it was jarring to not have it

@William - the other option after typing the . is to use the old Ctrl+2 shortcut which does list the expected method(s). It could probably be argued that this is therefore a bug, rather than a new feature, and maybe a Parsys bug ticket would be more appropriate?

Nice suggestion. I hit this type of thing quite often, but rather than going onto a new line I just add the 'unnecessary' .Decimal typecast, and once auto-complete has done its thing remove the unnecessary typecast. It could potentially be argued that this is a bug in auto-complete, rather than an enhancement, so maybe a Parsys bug ticket is more appropriate for this one?
