Show History 'Compare Source' - make pane of source code larger

When comparing source, using the 'Show History' and selecting a patch, there is a panel covering the bottom half of the form that I never use (still don't know what it is for). Is very hard to get rid of it because the drag is really sensitive and hardly ever works with my mouse. Can by default, this be hidden so the top half viewing pane is larger. Or else provide a button so we can easily click to close up.

For what it's worth, in Jade2016 it's a 'proper' resize bar which is much easier to grab and move. You have about 6 vertical pixels in which it will show the resize cursor. It would still be good to be able to hide the merge window by default though, given how infrequently it's used.
