The recent improvements that allow us to highlight a method in either the method references window or the methods viewer are great - but there's no way of saving what's been highlighted, the information is lost as soon as the window is closed.

It's quite common for us to find ourselves in situations where we have potentially hundreds of method references to review/update as part of a large piece of work.  In the past, we've used scripts to narrow down large lists of method references that need to be reviewed by looking for common method references to multiple entities.

The new method highlighting functionality would be more useful in this scenario if:

• Method highlighting could be persisted as part of a method view for all users to see (& work through together potentially).
• Method views could be created from the method references dialog (transferring how any methods have already been highlighted), copying all or selected methods.

It'd also be useful if we could create new methods views from existing ones which would allow us to create:

• Merge two or more views together into one.
• Find the intersection/common list of methods between two or more method views.
