The JADE 2022 release meets tomorrow’s business demands.
Since 2016 (or whenever they brought in the extract/load icons), I still will click Load to extract and extract to load. I know the icons are nerdily correct (down arrow towards the database means load.)
I just don't think they're quite right as I still automatically get it wrong. Can these icons be revamped, away from the arrow up/down idea. It just doesn't work and one day I'm going to wipe out the schema extracts when I miss the overwrite prompt.
All versions of Jade before 2016 were fine. Maybe take inspiration from them?
Hi,
Thanks for the feedback, we'll take this into account the next time we review our icons.
Thanks John R.
I'm with you on that front. When it was arrows going into and out of a floppy disk icon it was much easier to know which was extract and which was load. I normally waited for the tool tip to come up before clicking the button to get the correct option in JADE 2016+ systems.
Luckily with JADE 2022 I no longer have to wait for the tool tip as I bypass the confusing icons altogether by using the Ctrl+Alt+L for loads and Ctrl+Alt+E for extracts!!
Not everyone is a keyboard shortcut junkie though, so I'm still upvoting this suggestion.
Cheers,
BeeJay.
